I have not touched this bike in so long. The last thing I wrote about was when I put the longer cb360 swing arm on the bike. Before After So this weekend I started working on a mount for the seat and today I ordered the cb360 chain tensioners and a new longer chain since the old one is now 5" to short. The seat I have has 2 cracks in it that I found after removing the seat cover so I need to do a little fiberglass work to that and then I need to figure out how to mount the battery. I wanted to buy a gel battery so I could have it on its side but this lead acid battery still works so I may just use it and save the money. Maybe 6 months from now I will do a little more!

Looking good Chris! What tires are you running? Also, do you still have that CX500 tank and do you want to sell it?

It has been forever since I updated this topic and about as long since I worked on this project. I guess sometimes life gets in the way of the things we love to do! Let's see... it looks like the last post was when I replaced the swing arm with a longer cb360 swing arm and since then I have not done much at all to the old bomber. I have cut out a plate for the seat to mount to and have now bought a Shorai battery to mount under the seat hump. The Shorai battery is a lithium ion battery and weighs almost nothing compared to a lead acid battery. I have not had a chance to test this one out but I also bought one for my bmw and I love it (no more dimming headlight at stop lights when the engine slows down). I broke my top triple tree mount from forgetting to put that shim in there so I bought an aluminum one from Dimecitycycle. Don't think I could break this one even if I wanted to! I was out garage saleing and picked up this nos fiberglass Harley chin fairing for $10. Now I guess I need to stop complaining about Harleys since I have a Harley part going on my bike. That's about it, maybe this time next year she will be on the road!

Garage sale finds are awesome when we as guys can find something amongst kid cloths, toys and last seasons clutter. Looking forward to seeing your cafe. I currently have my engine apart to replace rings and check valve seats.

Adjusted the valves, points and timing on my cb450 but now have a knocking sound that I didn't have before. Guess I will recheck the valve timing another day after she cools off. Grrrrrrrr
