This is her. The first motorcycle I've ever had, and I know nothing about them. I've always wanted one and turns out, when you become an adult, you get to buy all the toys you wanted when you were a kid. So I picked up a '74 cb360 and I'll spend the winter getting her to look the way I want and I'll be out of the gates in the spring. Just wanted to share. Expect a lot of questions from me, I picked this bike up as a hobby and I'm going to learn as I go. As far as how I want it to look, I don't want a cafe racer and I don't want it to look stock. I want it to be a 2 seater, but I'm going to put clubmans on and the pipes, part of the engine, and frame will be black. Tank and accents will be flat green. Ahead of time, thanks for your help! I brought the bike home yesterday. The guy at cycle re-cycle put some gas in the carbs and it runs, so I spent last night stripping it apart to start from the frame up. The engine is coming off tonight, so I'll be cleaning and painting most of the parts the next couple weeks. I'll post pictures once I get to my computer, I'm typing this on my phone.
One thing I can't seem to find are these cb's with much customization in rear lights. I'd really like to have turn signals, but I see no pictures of modded signal lights in the rear. All of them are either stock (way too wide) or nothing but a tail light with no signals.
Anyone have information on other options for rear signals? Thanks.

Anyone have the tools to cut some of the mounts off a frame? I'd be willing to compensate and come to you.

I have an angle grinder. You pick one up pretty cheap at Harbor Freight. Sure you will find other uses for it.

Spent a lot of time in the garage on Sunday. Picked up an angle grinder at Harbor Freight and cut some pieces off my frame I don't need. I'm fabricating a new seat so I got rid of all that has to do with the original seat. I painted the frame and other parts and put the forks on. Cleaned up the wheels a little bit and started work on the engine. Tomorrow I'll be cutting my seat pan, rear splash guard, and tail light mount. Anyone know where I can pick up some Metal Rescue? Or does anyone have advice on de-rusting a gas tank? Also, as you can see I have a significant dent in my tank. Any advice on how to get it out? Attachments:

So I got a new engine and I'm going to part out my old one to make up the difference. This one was in much better shape and was only 150. Next step is work on the seat. I have my seat pan, and my buddy is going to sew the leather for the seat. I also had some clip-ons welded that I should be getting this week and I'll be adding my grips/throttle and working on custom controls. Attachments:

Finally got all my tabs and pieces I don't need cut off and smoothed down to the frame. It took 4 different grinder disks to get it how I wanted it, but it looks loads better than before. I'm tuning up and sandblasting my motor tonight, so that should be done by the end of the week. Electrical also starts this week. Hopefully I'll have her running by March. Attachments:
