That is also why a Smith and Wesson airweight 38 snubnose is part of my riding gear,a great equalizer and stupidity deterrent.

That and I find carrying makes me stay clam a lot longer than otherwise... when you know your actions have HUGE consequences, you are more likely to think before hand.
That goes for people carrying and people who know you are carrying.
Also, I hate bikers who lane share on cars or pull out in front of traffic because they think they can out accelerate it.

People are people. There is good and bad in every community. Oddly enough... i havnt found too much "bad" in the vintage community. Not as much posturing as there can be in some circles. Maybe its the who built vs bought thing. People are proud of their "kids" and its generally uncool to rip on someone's kid

I really don't have anything against most riders, but can we come up with a new way of greeting each other on the road! The 2 finger swat thing is so played out. Chico and I had fun with a new wave this summer and I'm sure some of the riders we passed appreciated our enthusiasm! I'll have to get some video so you all can start using the new wave.

Some of mine:
Radios on bikes . . . can't stand the guy witht the radio so loud you can hear it from 2 blocks away. Has to be turned up so loud so he can hear it over his open straight pipes that nobody likes to hear but him.
Doo rags with facemasks . . . . just put on a damn helmet already.
"When are you gonna get a REAL bike". Gimme a break. When are you gonna learn to ride? My tires are scrubbed to the edges, man, and i have a bucket of worn out knee pucks in the garage, and these Harley guys are gonna ask me to get a "real" bike.
Guys who say they had to "lay it down". Nobody lays it down. You crashed. Jeesh.
The Harley "scowl". That bike doesn't make you some kind of badass. Really.
I know most of this seems to be centered around the Harley "lifestyle". I really don't dislike Harleys, but it just seems like there is a higher percentage of douche bags on Harleys.
I can't stand squids either, but there are just far fewer of them around here.

I completely agree with BeeDub!
The Squid thing sucks alot. I have a 20 year old Ratted out StreetFighter that I have hand built from years of hard work and I always get "When are you going to get a new bike". Or talk how fast they are like they should be on a podium at 'Isle of Man'.
I am too old to care enough and open minded to other peoples likes in what they ride. Everyone is always welcome to ride anything they got with me. But get rid of the self-absorbed pretentious elitist attitudes.
I find the Harley, Squids and some of the Ducati owners(Brockway Pub bike nights) have those attitudes and they suck the fun out of being around fellow riders. So I mostly stay to myself or stay in my garage.

-The wave, in general . -The ER nurses who is berating you for being a rider and calling donorcyclists idiots while stapling your leg back together because a drunk in a car pulled out of the bar parking lot doing 30 into the SIDE of you. -Orange County Choppers. -Truck nuts-that's fucking classy that you make me explain anatomy to my four year old daughter. I would prefer to wait a few years. -Harley people. Not the bike but the people. I ride a fatboy regularly because believe it or not, it does not break and I got it super cheap from an estate. It is comfortable to ride 400 miles in a day and gets 40 mph when not ridden like an ass. In my garage there is a BMW R65, CB350/2, a F4i, a 6HP Rupp, and now a Triumph thunderbird (not mine) yet people who ride vintage, Jap, or Brit look at me like I am an ass without knowing what I ride when I am not on the HD. -Minivans/soccer moms doing 80 on I65, swerving in and out of traffic, generally being reckless and trying to kill people. -Did I say truck nuts? I really hate that. -Lane sharing. Especially when it's someone you don't know who just happened to ride up on you. -Jesus fish stickers. I don't really know why but they bug me. -Mini Coopers. That's just because I am a BMW mechanic and I know what horrendous pieces of junk they are. -People driving on donuts. You usually find these Darwin award winners on the highway with more than one donut. I make my car safe and reliable but will probably be killed by one of these losing control and hitting me or me and my family. -Bicycles downtown not riding in the bike lane that I had to give up a lane of traffic for. I work downtown so that one really bugs me. -city bus drivers. -dogs in the back of pickups. -rebel flag bumper stickers/license plates.
Im gonna stop now. Its beer thirty.

HA! This is fun.
My short list...
Strangers that wait until you're all suited up ready to roll to walk up and talk to you about how they "used to own one of these" You couldn't talk to me before I put my helmet on?
I guess the "I used to have one of these" conversation just annoys me in general.
People who ride (any brand) yet know absolutely nothing of the history of that brand... let alone their own bike. I am kind of an elites geek about this,
Posing, posturing, or any other form of pretention at bike gatherings... didn't we get together to meet and discuss motorcycles?
The "I used to ride people" this is usually followed by some long winded bullshit story about them, their brother, their sisters husbands stepdads uncle had this really bad accident so they don't anymore... I get it you don't ride 'buff said.
Sons of Anarchy swag. As a biker and an aging punk rock anarchist it's spits in the face of two things I hold dear.

I do love Chico's "new" wave. It makes me laugh... I believe we should all adopt it.
