I just bought a 49 harley hummer as a basket case. I have loved the rubber bands springer forks on the 48 and 49. Ive been wanting to find some forks and fit them on another bike a make a small board tracker. Well as things go I ended up buying this basket frame, forks, motor, wheels. Most of the hard parts no fenders, tank, headlite cover. As soon as I am able to post pictures I will. I belong to Trifive, Hamb, car sites dont have any problems posting pictures, but have not got it figured out here. Even started a photobucket album for this site. It will happen, but im not that sharp with online stuff. Well, I would like some input on what you all think about were to take this project. Small board tracker with hummer frame forks wheels and motor (or maybe later single cyl motor ) Or Stock restored Or what do you think? If you have some pictures I love pictures. I WILL BE POSTING PICTURES SOON. Thanks Ron Maybe something like this www.harleyhummerclub.org/members/jerry-hatfield/17446-47/index.html

Or something like this[imhttp://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQVAUyOAX9e9gA74Rvg] [/img]
Here is one thing you are doing wrong. You want to make sure when you paste your code, that it is between the ] and the [ . I tried to fix this but I think your link is also bad.

I'm not sure, right now I'm giving it some thought be for starting the project. I was just looking for a girder fork setup from a 48-49 Hummer to fit on a small Honda frame and make a board track racer style bike. But now I ended up with all most all the parts to build a hummer. So I'm not sure. Ron

Slohand, please look at the picture below, When you are in your photobucket account, the IMG code is the one circled in red, this is the one you want to copy and paste into this forum. I hope this helps. BTW, that looks like a cool project, no matter what you do with it. I bet the ups guy about sh*t his pants when he went to lift that one out of the truck.

Cool project. I have a '65 Pacer which is a younger brother to your project. Its a fun 2stroke to ride. If you haven't came across the Harley Hummer Club site www.harleyhummerclub.org/ give it a look. They are great source and super helpful grouP of guys. If you are looking into getting it running or completly restored they will help. You will be surprised at the work they have done to reproduce hard to find parts. Duane Taylor makes the rubber bands for the fork suspension. And for engine work Mutt in TX is your man. Keep us posted on your progress!
