Did you just pull that out of a barn? It needs a bath......What a classic and one of the coolest tanks. Whats the plans for it when you get it running (stock original, cafe)? What all is wrong with the wiring? You never replied to my pms I sent you! That is a great project, if you ever get tired of messing with it and decide to part ways, please let me know! Great project.

Lol yea a hay barn. You can still see the cowboy in the background. It's been there since 1975. And I've got it partially taken apart. The wiring was horrid and badly done it was chopped and poorly joined with duct tape not electrical tape. And I had to get a new harness from cycle recycle. The old harness was corrodid badly under the plastic wire jacket. And I need a new ignition because this one had bad corrosion on the wiring leading into the plug of the ignition. But the silver lining of the bike is that he had the title for it!!! So I have the title.

Yea very nice. I know I'm far off on it but I'll be switching jobs near November or December so I'll have to wait until then to start up on the bike again. I just don't have the extra cashflow as of now. But hopefully in the mean time I can work on fiberglass skills and learning some other skills.

My new harness and ignition switch have been installed but.....no spark. I'll be ordering a ingnition tune up kit next week hopefully. I also will be needing some carb rebuild kits too. But I'll be doing that after I make sure I have spark. I am going to start tearing the bike apart after I make sure it runs. I already upholstered my seat pan and it looks nice but I used a lame color because the only vinyl I had was left over from re upholstering a Bench seat so it's like a cream color.

Long long time since I've worked on the 450. I decided to get it up and running this month. I have recently went all out and bought everything I need to get it started. If It doesn't start then it's not because of the ignition system. Would have to be a pressure issue. I have bought coils, condenser, points, battery, ignition switch custom wiring harness, spark plugs, plug wires, plug boots and carb rebuild kits. Carbs have been currently soaking in kerosene since Sunday. I'll report back when I get some more progress.

I just ordered the tach and speedo for the bike. New clutch cable also. After installing them I should be good for a test ride around the block. So far it's just be drove up the driveway. I also have a different tank on it at the moment. I'm thinking I'll need to line the tank because I can't keep it from rusting. I got it perfect with acid then rinsed it with distilled water and then gasoline. Still rusted enough to scare me

Got a little more done today. Headlight and tail light installed. I have a temporary tank on for now while doing my testing. Still waiting for some parts but I believe I'll be ready for the mad max run
