I was looking for a twin. But this came along and I couldn't stand it. Been looking for a nice 354 for awhile. I watch CL for these all the time. Seen many but never like this one. Thanks Hershel if you ever see this. Attachments:

As with many older bikes, it has a few issues I can't stand. Like the head gasket is leaking. The breather cover gasket had a crack in it and was leaking also. The original exhaust has some rusting going on the lower areas. The rear rim had a flat spot like it hit a curb. So at 50mph it started buzzing and sounding all crazy. It has this large extremely bad looking fairing and large clear windshield. Hate it. There is a giant engine guard as well. Attachments:

So of course my job is to tighten this old girl up and get her back on the road looking respectable. Sans windscreen/ fairing, engine guard and stock exhaust and bent rim. Attachments:

Already got the rim with an original tire on it in great condition and no flat spot. Today i spent installing it and pimping out that end of the old girl. Cleaned up all the parts and rim sparkling almost like new. Attachments:

Also another major issue was the front brake. Like all factory honda calipers back then, it would lock up if the brake was used. There is a super remedy for this besides unhooking it. I found stainless steel piston for the caliper and rebuilt it like I did on the 550four. Repainted, installed, bled and now works great. Highly recommend it for all old school Japanese front brake pistons. They always corrode and if you don't rebuild and flush each season they get stuck and are a hazard. Attachments:

Overall the bikes in great condition for it's age. Came with 4200 miles and one of the side covers is noticeably faded. Maybe after I explain all that needed attention it may sound like alot. But it compared to the 550 is a cherry. Attachments:

The toolkit looks brand new. Under the seat is amazingly clean. It didn't take a lot of work today and I had her ass end shining. Attachments:

thanks guys. Tango these aren't for sale. I love these old honda's and bought them and fixed them up to ride and enjoy. They won't be for sale. It's a disease I guess. But the cure is when I turn wrenches, admire, and eventually Ride. I do thank you for your interest and noticing. Will get some more pics as the bike comes along.
