A look at the caliper I rebuilt and installed a stainless steel piston so it wont corrode and lock up during use. If y'all haven't found them yet. They are available thru someone on ebay. like 87 bucks just for the piston. I also recommend replacing the inner seal of the caliper. But well worth it. let me know and i can pm you the link if you can't find them. Attachments:

the new 4-1 MAC has a nice raspy / throaty tone. Got the timing gun out and adjusted it to specs. changed the oil and filter. adjusted the cam chain tension. adjusted the drive chain. topped off the air in the tires. Attachments:

took it out for a ride to shake down the issues if any. Little engine is rated at 34 hp stock. I'd be willing to bet this ones pushing 36. It's not alot of power. But the redline is 10,000rpm and she was pulling my fatass all the way to it without sputtering. Howling like a banshy threw the new mac pipe. Maybe some of you could hear me. Was up and down arlington ave. Had a good time running this great little bike like it needed it. Last owner was too easy on it and cobwebs had built up in the main jets. ;D Attachments:

i was really impressed with how well it ran after i had it so far apart. Was like a new bike altogether. The initial first ride home was pathetic, poor bike had the hardest time reaching 55. but.... Without the stock exhaust, windjammer, engine guard helped a lot by losing weight. The new rear rim without the flat spot helped out with the smoothness. Felt like had new tires to me now. The carb's weren't that dirty but i changed out the jets and rebuilt them anyway. Decided to stay with the stock air box for now. In fact I kinda like how original it is and will most likely leave it alone except for cleaning , tuning, riding, and polishing. So Without hitting the highway i had a clear spot at a certain part of the ride and found 75mph easily with plenty to spare. May run her from emerson to shadeland on 70 and back to see what i can get. Will report back to ya'll later. Jim

Those old Honda's had a lot of spunk. I had a cb350 twin that would haul my 300lb ass up to 75+ and sounded great doing it. Very nice bike you have there!

thanks nova... Had it out from Emerson to Shadeland and back but too much traffic to open her up. Did manage 80 easily. I bet she can do 90. But I'm not gonna push too hard. In 5th gear 50 mph is @ 5000 rpm. At 60 mph its 6000. 70mph was @ 7000 rpm. So reasonable guess would take her to about 90+ with a 115 pound rider. Not my big butt tho. So just seeing 80 was astonishing to me. Love this little bike, it's now part of the pack. I'll bring it to steer inn next month for sure. Unless its raining. Would love to see some others with their old baby inline 4's if they got em. Also I am interested in a 350 twin or a 450 dohc twin. Anyone have one for sale I'd be interested. Also am interested in more 350 fours. I have a soft spot for them. See ya around guys. Ride safe and have a good time.
