Well I've made another step forward today... only a half step back. Thanks to Karl I've got the battery tank all finished. I may have to space the whole tank down a half inch or so. I made an adjustment on the fly when I welded the tabs onto the ignition side and it's a tight fit. The gaps lined up better though so overall I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Today I was able to mount the seat pivot. I ran out of materials otherwise I'd have had the shocks mounted as well. Little mock up picture...

I made some good progress today. I finished installing the seat shocks. I also started modifying the tank (I had a hard time hacking into it but I balled up and did it.) to clear the welded on rear section. Everything is turned out well. I didn't take any close up pictures of the mounts or the bracket I had to make to bolt to the seat. If anyone want to see it just let me know. I don't know if I'm going to like the seat. Only time will tell. Not going to worry about it untill after I start riding it. Eric

Hey Hog, yea I was out there most of the day. I'm going to start working on the oil filter bracket and the tail light/license plate bracket next. Not very fun to watch but has to get done. Do you ride bikes, quads or both?

Just sold my last quad not too long ago. Doubt I'll ever buy another buy you never know. I have 2 Penton dirtbikes. Was out on my 74 Hare scramble getting some practice for Barber this past weekend.

Oh sweet! I'ld like to check those out. I have an old 88 RM250 I bomb around on. Mostly I bruise ribs on it but I think I'm getting better. :-)

Looks good do you want to sell any of the stuff you took off I'm doing a 71 . my email sgarv@comcast.net You're welcome to look over the take offs. It was a pretty rough bike to begin with. That was part of why I decided to chop it. I'll send you a PM with my cell #.
