Although this is a very nice build done by a friend Kim Wroblewski. It has a few little oil leaks that are driving me nuts and making it more difficult to sell. So im pulling the engine, it will get a new head, middle and valve cover gasket. Prob use some honda bond along with it to be sure. new oil and filter, im also installing a hidden push button starter switch. While the engine is somewhat apart ill be touching up the engine paint which i have matching paint for and will repaint the pipes as well. Shouldnt cost much just some labor and I will have the peace of mind that im selling a bike that does not leak. (hopefully) Assuming i still want to sell it when im finished. It has a great ride and runs great. peace out, Steve well looky there, next to the cafe is rogers h1 smoker!! on the way to Taco Tues

If there not buying for some small oil leaks they're really just not interested. What do they expect from a 34 yr old bike..... Maybe its due to the price I seen on Craigs haha! jk with ya Steve.

That bike is nicer than the one I just saw sell at auction for $2900..granted it was a 72 w/ original 4 into 4 exhaust but all the Chrome was shot, tank dented, side covers broken, throttle stuck, brakes stuck....etc..been sitting for 10 plus years and looked it
There were about 6 of us there that couldn't believe it.....

You just brought back all kinds of nightmares from my first attempt at an engine rebuild and bike restore. I bought a very complete 74 CB750 for $186.00 many years ago. You can guess what I was in for.

You can guess what I was in for. yes i "feel your pain". I did the exact same thing a couple years ago. Bought a 750 for $250 and put her all the way back to original. The CB750 is a big engine. Def intimidating for a first time engine rebuild. I did everything but the trans on my first rebuild. The top end, even though there are a ton of parts, is really not that bad other then putting the head back on with the 4 pistons and new rings. Thank God for SOHC.net

Looks like all that 750 experience is working for you.

Hey Tango are you interested in selling the 750? A guy at my work saw a pic of it and might be interested in it.

Finally got some time to make progress. We've gone from this to this now: Once the whole head is on and complete ill tape off the upper section that is freshly painted and hit the bottom end with fresh paint. then its back into the bike and fire her back up.
