This is great! We have a lot of people stop in looking for a shop to work on their old Triumphs.

Rob Gibson of British King Tiger boasted to myself and others of taking parts from a customers bike and putting them in his ! He was sued for charging another customer for an engine rebuild and only replacing gaskets ! Check out that ecustomer story on Chop Cult online. The fact that he is a snitch and a member of the Boozefighters MC (a motorcycle club with a board member that worked Suffolk County NY undercover) does not go over well either.

I can't speak to the veracity of the post above, but I can tell you that today Rob Gibson bailed me out of a valve issue (of my own making) on my 67' Bonnesville custom. He was quick to diagnose my bike's issue and fixed it...and reasonably so. If you're lucky enough to own a Triumph, then let Rob take care of it. Super guy, very knowledgeable, and someone you definitely want in your corner. Do your homework and make some calls, but my guess is that you'll be giving Rob a call. Ride safe!

I am the daughter of the owner of King Tiger British Motorcycle Repair. Since my father Rob Gibson doesn't use the internet I am here on his behalf. Due to the last few years of negative comments coming from the same person under his name and other fake names this is my father's response: I’m Rob Gibson and I have almost 30 years of experience repairing British motorcycles. Unfortunately since October 2015 there have been a lot of negative comments online on numerous sites (including this one) that originate from the same person usually under his name, nickname, or false identities. This said person makes a big deal out of me belonging to a motorcycle club, the same club that he fails to mention he used to belong to, and is now out in bad standing. Our club is currently involved in litigation against this former member who said if we don’t drop our case he would ruin my business. He also mentions numerous times in posts about how I have been brought to court over a motor rebuild. Yes, after almost 30 years of business I was taken to court 1 time. While I didn’t agree with the judgment, I made it right. Like all people I am not perfect. I have always repaired any problems that have arisen with work I’ve done. I have had some of the same customers for over 20 years and I know my work will speak for itself. As of the date of the post by Jeremy, I had no customer by that name.

Spiky, Spiky, Spike. How are your accommodations? I can understand why you're disgruntled, things haven't played out how you thought they would. Rob Gibson does build some sweet British bikes. Find any real customer and ask them for yourself.

I've known Rob Gibson and "Spike" for years. Rob is a stand up guy who knows British bikes as well as anybody. He has ALWAYS been an honest businessman who works on British motorcycles from all around the world. "Spike" on the other hand has been a notorious liar, thief and manipulative low life. "Spike" has been a one man band of inuendo and untruths. Enough said.

Ask to see British King Tigers CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE. There isn't one. Leave your bike at your own risk.

Hey, I met Rob in June of 2017. I needed a chain on a coast to coast trip. Surprise, surprise, here is a Triumph shop in the middle of Indiana.
It was Saturday, Rob was happy to come into the shop and was happy to sell me a chain. He had to take it off an ongoing project and shorten it to fit my 1973 Triumph. His price was so low I was compelled to pay extra.
Seemed like a hell of a nice guy to me. Member of the Booze Fighters? Yea, that's obvious. He does not try to hide it. I will never have the pleasure to witness Rob’s table manners but I was perfectly happy with my dealings with him that day. Again, seemed like a hell of a nice guy
Lots of interesting projects going on in the shop and one of the custom fuel tanks had a fantastic paint job that I discovered was done by Rob himself. I am seriously thinking about shipping my tank to him for painting.
This is an old school Triumph/Norton/BSA shop with wood floors and a Janis Joplin poster on the wall. And Rob is an old school proprietor. If that makes you nervous, the door swings both ways. I’m grey enough to remember and miss the old school shops and found myself just about to tear up.
If I am ever riding across Indiana again, a stop at King Tiger will be on the schedule. Thanks Rob! Next time I hope we have time to get a beer.

I've had Rob do work for me, sell a bike for me and is presently doing work on a bike for me. Rob is a great guy and I've always been well satisfied with his work.

I have seen Rob Gibson's work on a Matchless G12. He is inept on the restoration of British Motorcycles. It is obvious he doesn't use shop manuals. This particular machine was in need of many corrections. He used silicone instead of designated case sealer. Also the chain case and transmission we're dry upon delivery to the customer. Leaking oil everywhere. Spark plugs were the wrong heat range Champion instead of KLG. Caburettor settings did meet the requirements for that machine, hard to start and missed fired when deaccellurating. Rear tire inner tube valve over torqued and fractured the inner tube. Front wheel spokes, one side assembled in reverse placement. There is more items to be corrected. All for $8000. What a disaster! Instruct your father on to use a computer. Workshop manuals for all the British Motorcycles are online. For those of reading this response & considering a restoration, go somewhere that is reputable.
