Friday I trade my dirtbike for a Honda FT500. Single cylinder baby! I'm thinking street tracker. I'll have to convert it to kick only. 12:1 piston, different cam, exhaust... cut down the fender. Here is a picture of the bike.

Wow, that sure is clean. I'd have a hard time modifying it at all. JMO

Looking at that I could come up with all kind of tracker ideas. Whats with the 2 exhaust ports on a single?

Yea. I think I'll get over my reservations. This project will move slowly. I have house projects and a four wheeler to rebuild for my daughter. I'll get it running so i have a back up bike and go from there.

A little research on that bike and ft stands for flat tracker.Be a nice custom not too many people have,Honda reliability, one piston, one carb etc....

The weakest link on the bike is the starter. (this one has starter problems.) The "valve cover" is where the rockers mount, so no gasket. The sometimes leak. I own a Triumph so that won't bother me at all.
I think I can build a sweet little street tracker out of this. Dare I be bold enough to say I'll have her done for Rockers 2013... maaaaaybeeeee!
