Hey all. After this weekend I noticed my clutch slipping when I tried to accelerate over 60mph approaching 3/4 throttle. The Triumph manual is a little vague on how to set them up. I opened mine up tonight and changed the clutch springs to a set of Barnett springs. Last Friday Chico was over and the nuts that hold the pressure plate on his were screwed in a lot more than mine. So I still didn't tighten them as tight as they could be. The shaft portion even with the curve of the nut. (man they'd be all over me at work for that last sentence...)
My question is does anyone know what the correct tightness is? I've got it adjusted correctly in the regard to even pressure being applied by each spring. (I haven't road tested it yet I ran the tank dry to fix the two pin holes.)

No I didn't. I fired it long enough to pump new oil into the filter. By then it the tank was empty and the fuel bowls were running empty. I have more tank work to do tonight/tomorrow so that was my goal to run it empty.

Update on the slipping clutch. I installed the new springs and tightened the nuts until the threads were just showing through. Between the two no more slippage. yay.

Thanks man! I took a couple degreees out of the timing and it really woke it up... I need to try and take a little more out of it. I may have set it up on the wrong timing notch... that would suck.
