Can anyone do it? I have a small custom piece that holds my headlight on that broke last week. If anyone can help or knows someone please pass the information on to me. Thanks

It's pretty small. I tried some JB weld lastnight. I'll see if it held when I get off work tonight. It just has to last through next Saturday morning. That bike is getting put on the shelf or stripped down soon!!

What broke. Bottom has already been JB welded. I'm gonna do the top tonight. Probably fab something out of steel after RR. The unbroken side

I couldn't make that. you would be best to weld it. I use to weld aluminium in A&P school but that was about 35 years ago. It is tricky because there is a small margin between the puddle and burn through. Try this guy he is on the Southside Andy's Welding Shop (317) 625-3866 2327 south county road 1050 east., Indianapolis, IN 46231 Here is another guy recommended on another forum: Competition Welding ask for Gary 317-852-7300 Here is a product that may help in th long term: www.howtoweldaluminum.com/

My JB rig seems to be holding. Hopefully it will get me though next weekend. Well that and some zip ties and duct tape. I think I'll find someone to fab something out of steel for the future. Thanks for the recommendations!

Well my JB weld did not hold and broke when I went to mount it. I figured as much. A budy is going to fab something up this week, but as a back up I just ordered a cheap set of adjustable headlight ears. I just hope they fit and leave enough room for the headlight and cables. They were only $20 and should be here mid week, so we'll see!
