I was inspired this last weekend. I was wanting to put the "Bonneville 750" side panel badges with chrome trim on my bike. The glue had dried out on one and I simply reattached it with clear RTV adhesive after cleaning off the old glue. The other had the "750" end of the plastic decal broken off. In a chessy moment of inspration I photo copied the 750 end of the other decal, trimmed the 750 out with the back ground to the edge of the chome trim. I glued it down with RTV with one edge slid under the original broken decal. To protect the paper from weather I put a coat of clear RTV over the top and smoothed it out. That encased the "750" repair paper photocopy in RTV. I was very suprised how well it turned out. Eveyone in the family I showed it to thought it was the entact decal. The only was to tell was when you looked at it from the side and see the numbers were not raised letters. It is temporary until I budget the money to buy a new decal. hehe.

Sometimes you just gotta make due with what you got.
