Has anybody tried silicone or bb's inside of bars to help with vibration? I have heard of doing this and just wondering what you guys have tried. Also, might try bar ends or bar end mirrors. Just not sure if the mirrors would have enough weight to them.

I bet if you can take the risers off or put a peice of neoprene in the bar mount it would help a bit.

I used some foam(foam pipe wrap at Lowes) on the bar mounts. There was not much room to use anything else. It may have help a little, but still not enough. I talked to Cycle Outfitters and he suggested the expansion foam sprayed into the bars. So, I think I will try that with some bar end weights to see if that helps.

I would not go the foam route, once its in there it will be a pain to get out if it doesn't work. I have heard sand works well. To dampen vibration you need mass, expansion foam seems to light to me to seem to make much difference.

Old school (cheap) way is to fill the bars with sand & plug the ends.
