My current project that I hope to have done by next GP weekend... Picked up these two over the last few months and finally got around to working on them... parts bike its a 400 but I'm going to run a 350 tank...probably going to run a micro fairing as well...not this one but something similar its currently stripped to the frame, i'm working on the engine right now...spent most of last night getting the pistons out of the calipers... what a pain

thanks guys...one of the decisions i need to make is to either clean up the frame and run pre-mix or install the oil tank and side cover and keep the injection...

I would run the injector if I were you. If you are out on a day run and run low on gas you can just stop at any station instead of shooting home for some premix. I had a R5 years ago and could never get the shims set up right on the injector so mine was a great mosquito repellent in the summer.

slowly but surely...got the engine back together this week...(well 90% anyway) I'm now back to cleaning up the frame. Since this won't be a long trip machine, I'm going to run premix. Here's a pic with the seat I am going to use, while its sitting on the frame rails right now, it leaves little room to hide the electric bits.

been a while since I updated this...some other stuff got in the way but I've been back on it since the weather went south, plus parts for these are a little more hard to come by and seem t take forever to ship anyways... i wanted to hide all the electronics under the new seat pan and gas tank and since this thing doesn't really need a big battery, I stuck the little ballistic under the tank. The reg/rectifier mounts right under the battery. I stuck a small flasher relay up by the coils. I decided to go tach only, and made a small bracket for the stocker. Also installed a few led's for the neutral and signal lights Which removed the space for the key. I was going to just hide a toggle switch somewhere but decided against it and installed a Honda type ignition underneath the neck...time will tell if this was a good idea or not... My rear master was pretty pitted on the inside which is a problem for these, so I picked up a used Brembo off e-bay. Had to weld some new brackets and modify the linkage but it seems good to go.. kickstand hit the pipes... So I moved it forward and added some steel to the stops...some folks bend them but it makes the bike lean way to much for me This is how it currently sits...I need to fit the rear mudguard which should be here this week. After that's done, it's time to strip and start painting / powder coating. ..and yes, those are Skyway Tuff Wheels...least that's what I'm telling everyone
