Rear seal in, flywheel and clutch in, engine and gearbox finally back together. Motors in the frame, back wheel is on, foot controls are on, carbs are on. Changed up the hand controls, lowered the front end, physically and visually. It's starting to look like a bike again. Need a battery and new fork springs at the minimum to try to start her and drive down my street. Pics on fb: Guzzi projecttwentyone. Sorry idk how to post pics here from my phone.

Hooked up a battery yesterday, put some gas in the tank, ran new fuel lines. Hooked up minimal electronics and tried to fire her up. She turned over but wouldn't fire. Pulled the plugs and they were fouled of course. Tested them on the frame and we had spark but it was weak. New plugs wires and caps will soon be on the way. Sooooooo close! Not sure the timing is set right. It has a Dyna III.

I need help Indy Vin. If anyone has experience setting the timing on one of these old ladys Id welcome some pointers. I have a dyna III instead of points. I have good spark on both cylinders, gas is flowing. Flames shooting out of the exhaust. Is it retarded?

Dual coils? Try switching the wires, just a thought.

If anyone heard a loud roar near Irvington this afternoon followed by loud cheering clapping crying and other general jubilation that was the motor on the Guzzi firing to life for the first time since 2004. After a long winter of together apart together apart we finally got everything in the right place at the right time and she fired on the second stroke. Been a long time coming. Still a way off from being fully road ready but I hope to ride her down to the Steer Inn for first Thursday.

I think you are missing something if you want to make it street legal!

this is going to be a sweet bike. Looks like a sump extension of some sort with a remote oil filter? were filters inside on this model? I've just purchased my second ever Goose (02LM) and am now looking for something like yours. I have cash and a trailer ready for Mid Ohio VD. You did the rear seal yourself? Can't wait to see your progress.

Mockup of the exhaust. Thinking of cutting a few inches out of the middle. Need to fab an x-pipe. Still working on the bumstop.
