Picked this up as is, looking forward to getting it on the road this spring. Lots of work to do, but a solid bike. Working on the air/fuel right not. New here and hope to get some tips and help. Anyone runa fiberglass tank? Not sure if this one is sealed or not, reccomendations? Also clip ons have very small ID, any suggestions on mirror that would fit? Is that the one tango911 had for sale? I am guessing it has been sealed if there is gas in it. I think they melt down pretty fast if they have not been sealed. I would use bar end mirrors if it was mine!

I vote for bar-end mirrors as well.

Not sure if it was Tango911, I bought it from a guy in Brownsburg. I like the idea of bar end mirrors, was wondering if the clip on ID was too small. Guess I'll have to buy a set a see.

That is him. There are some mirrors that mount on the inside and some that clamp on to the outside of the bars!

Still working on getting it running Steve, hope to have good news in a week or two. Jetting up did not correct the stumble issue. Checking compression, timing, and then going to sync the carbs. Any other ideas?

just one thing at a time, start doing a reg tune up, set the valves first, then set the timing. check all the connections for the points, maybe the points are going bad. i know the plugs and coils are new, and the plug wires. After all that, i would look into regulator/rectifier. I may have an extra of each laying around you can have, or get new. Let me know, ill help as much as i can.

Update: Compressions checks OK, valves and timing adjusted, timing wont advance properly at higher RPMs. Other than the advancer, which seems to look OK, got any other ideas?

electronic ignition will not fix the advance if its sticking. but is a great replacement for points for sure.

Drum roll.....
The issue was caused by missing condensers, added new and it was running on the dyno this afternoon. How Honda missed that when they had the advancer off cleaning and lubing it is anybody's guess. Looks like I'll be rolling this Spring afterall. Looking forward to meeting all of you. Thanks for the inputs. I'll post more pictures as I progress now that I have a running motor. Yeah!
