I can help on carbs an walk u through them. Yes! U need an airbox or some sort of filtering devise! Without these ur carbs will take in debris. As long as you keep us posted and u seek help through this forum there is no reason u shouldn't be able to fix anything on this bike. The people on here are that great.

The boots are suppose to be the same and not need to be in an order. Chances are they aren't the right boots or they are off on their placement. They do need a bit of wrestling in though. Try a layer of Vaseline on the fuel side of the carb lip before the install and they may slide right in

Oh and btw man did the guy u bought the bike from say the carbs were rebuilt or did u have them rebuilt at a shop? Just wondering because a lot of guys will either lie and say they rebuilt or will not clean them well and just stick some new or used parts in them. They could have put the wrong sized jets in or not have set the floats right either. So the solution is to spend 30 dollars and go buy the manual from dreyer honda or next door at dreyer motorsports. It will have step by step instructions to six and repair everything on the bike. It will also have all the bikes specifications. It would be The greatest investment u could make for this bike hands down!

Definately get a manual and Google your bike and you should be able to find a forum and find useful info.
