Do you guys find yourselves using impact drivers much on your bikes? Talked to one guy and he said it was a must have for project bikes. What kind of welder would be needed for simple fab/frame work? Would something like a Chicago Welding 90 AMP Flux Wire Welder be enough or would I need more? I know you get what you pay for, but no more than I would use one. The last thing is a dremel. Do you guys find a good use for a dremel on your project bikes?

I use my dremel on more than just bikes. I use it around the house too on some projects. I really enjoy the dremel tool.

I do use an impact driver a lot. Flux core welders do ok. I would try to get one that has the capability to run gas at some point. I like the welds better with gas vx flux core. You can run flux core in a unit set up for gas, but you can't run gas on a unit set up only for flux core.

CJ I picked up what I thought was a cheap stick welder at a swapmeet. By the time I bought a new ground and helmet. It wasn't inexpensive anymore. Stick welders or wire feed. Depends on your still level. I would suggest starting with a stick welder. Inexpensive. They have some cheaper wire fed migs with fluxcore in the wire. Look simple enough but man they run hot. Burn through easy. As crazy as it sounds if your new to welding I think stick is the way to go. I can't speak for the 110 volt welders out there...never used one. But the specs say they are good up to 3/16 th of and inch. Not bad. good luck

i have used all types of welders for over 7 years and the wire welder is the best for just about anything, if your just doing small things like on cars or motorcycle things like that get one with wire and the wire use flux its called flux core wire, and it comes in different sizes, a gas wire welder can do a lot more but just for the everyday use it few times dont get a gas,
