has anyone ever used spacers for ur bars ,, im thinking of geting them or makeing them, does anyone know if they change steering or anything that would be bad to

has anyone ever used spacers for ur bars ,, im thinking of geting them or makeing them, does anyone know if they change steering or anything that would be bad to I had a set on my 73 bmw and on my 80 bmw. Those were the first things I took off the bikes, ok, second thing, the windjammers went first. Nothing negative about them other than I would just rather have my bars lower instead higher. Why not just buy higher bars? Chris

you talkin about the 2 bolt, bar clamp spacer style riser, or a one bolt spacer between the top tree and the bar clamp? if using the latter, I've used longer bolts and chrome tool sockets as spacers. they work/look great. the other type work fine too. no probs if installed properly.
