If you cafe it you could probly eliminate some of the wire if you want to go that route and not run turn signals so that could be a option

I would say cafe it. I love the one in this months cafe racer magazine that was built as a cafe racer. Good luck with the project!

Hey by the way where do you find the cafe magazine Barnes and Noble, and Borders both have it but they go quick so I just bought a subscription after several trips to both stores and not finding it.

After repairing some of the wiring I found that the original problem was a bad ignition switch. It cost $250 new. Found a remaned one on e bay for $35 shipped! I'm waiting on it now, and eliminating all unnecessary parts. Should be on the road in a couple weeks. I'll update when it's assembled.

Nice looking bike. I think I have that same seat on my '72 CB500. I like it better than the stock seat. Larry

These bikes look ridiculously cool as cafes. Nice find. I saw one not too long ago that had a metal plate over the front of the motor with some holes in it and the whole thing was flat black. It looked like a tank.

I ended up cutting the seat down even more and sending it out for new seat foam and upholstery, should be back soon, went through the carbs and custom tuned them for the pod filters (drilled out the jets). and it RUNS!! this is the first time i have head this bike run since the summer. fresh fuel lines and inline filter, new throttle cables on the way, rebuilt the front brake caliper and had a new master cylinder on from last year. braided steel brake line. a lot has beed done.
whats left to do: get seat back clean up some of the wiring tail lights turn signals cluster? finish tuning carbs battery box ride!
should be done by spring ill post picts when i get the seat back
