Seeing as I'm heading back to work next week (I'm a teacher), I figured I'd plan some day rides this week to have some fun before facing the reality of 6th graders. 
Today's trip was to Cataract Falls over in Owen County. I hadn't been there for 10 years or more, so I figured I'd go check it out. My '74 CB550 has been out of commission this summer, so I was on my '87 VFR (not quite as vintage...but vintage nonetheless). Took the scenic route there down 67 and meandered through some curvy roads around Spencer and McCormick's Creek S.P. before heading over to the Falls.
The bike ran great. 150 miles roundtrip. Even taking I70 doing 75-85 mph on the trip home, got 48 MPG!
Considering a trip to Springfield, IL on Wednesday to see Lincoln's Tomb....depressing, I know....but I've never been there....so what the hell.
