If you are getting juice to the wire but no spark at the plug, either the wire is bad or the plug is bad, that is it unless your engine is not grounded and I am guessing it is grounded if you know you are getting spark to the wire.

Yeah I know the plug is good because I tested it on my cb500

how do you know your getting power to the wire?

Because I have a battery hooked up and even when the points are open its getting power

HE used a multimeter to test for power

are you talking power to the primary side of the coil (small wires) or the secondary (spark plug wire)?
What are your voltage readings?

When I have power hooked up to my original starter switch wire which runs through the coils, points, and condenser that is when I am getting 12 volts all the time. When I hook up power directly to one coil I don't get power till one of the points opens and then im only getting 2 volts. I am checking the power coming out of the plug wire.

If you have 12V to the primary you may want to bench test the coil to ensure it is good.
You don't want to test for voltage at the plug wire. It only has it when the plug fires and it is probably upwards of 20,000 volts but for only a millisecond. Touch it during this time and it can make for a nasty shock.
The bench test is checks the continuity of the windings through a resistance check. If you have a repair manual, it should have the specs. Test the primary by connecting the leads from the two (+ & -) small terminals on the coil. Test the secondary by connecting the spark plug wire connection to either of the small terminals.

How do you bench test the coil? This sounds like the same issue in having on my cl350.

How do you bench test the coil? This sounds like the same issue in having on my cl350. Every coil has two sets of windings, and you check the resistance (ohms) of each as I outlined in the above post. If you have a repair manual, it should give you the amount of resistance each should have. Bench test means nothing more than taking it off the bike and doing the above checks on your work bench.

You fellows may want to look at ehow.com. My manual on my 68tri.was notclear to me about how to check coils, but ehow was really good.l hope this helps you.
