Just wondering if anyone has used linseed oil. I was thinking of putting it on the bare metal of my frame I hear it will actually protect it and stop it from rusting

I want to say boiled linseed oil was used to coat the inside of frame tubes to keep them from rusting, bitd...
LOL, They used it in aviation! (My A&P license is a bit rusty) I knew I'd learned about that before.

Do you mean just an exposed frame? I'm planning on doing a lot of bare brushed metal on my bike and if the solution to rust is just linseed oil I'm going to bathe my bike in it.
