Okay so it looks like im gonna have to sand my frame down and paint it. I am just looking for some advice

Get it sand blasted it's a lot easier.

+1 on the sand blaster. If you have a large enough air compressor you could probably by a pressure pot and material at harbor freight for what some one will charge you to do it. If you stick with the sanding method degrease it first. My absolute favorite degreaser is easy off oven cleaner, it out performs any automotive degreaser I've tried...it will also burn so wear gloves.

I've got a cabinet if you ever need to do the smaller stuff...swing arms, engine parts etc. but it doesn't really help with what you are trying to do now.

for about 180.00 you can have the frame and all parts you need sandblasted and powdercoated.

I probably have about anything you would need to sand and paint the whole bike..I bought out a closed up body shop a couple years ago and have a ton of stuff
