Here is my BMV story...I bought a bike from my father in GA. In GA they will not issue a title on any vehicle 20 years or older and with no title in hand, the ladies in the Columbus BMV said that I would need to find the last person to own it in GA and ask them for a title. This was not my father, he bought it as a project from someone who found it in a barn...Bill of Sale only. After asking how to register it on the Indiana BMV website, some dude responded with, "You will need to file a lawsuit against the state of Indiana, with you winning the lawsuit, we will issue a title." Really? I needed to sue them to plate it...come on! Instead, I took an Official GA bill of Sale and the police inspection to the BMV, explained the GA law, they looked it up to verify I was telling the truth and issued a title. Next time I will not ask questions, just go to the BMV.

They will charge you $25 , and whatever taxes are on your purchase. Come to Bike Night at the Steer Inn this thursday night 6-9. there are several peeps that have done this. You can ask whatever questions you have.
