I sure hope to 550fi. I won't make my April 1st dead line... April 19th is shaping up to be a good weekend to shoot for though. :-)

I'll be reassembling the clutch hub assembly tonight if any of you trump owners want to swing by and see what it's about.

I got stuck finishing my wifes dirtbike off. It runs like a little bat out of hell now!! I'll be stuck at home getting ready for MvR Dallas as we leave Wednesday night. If you want to stop by and get it feel free if not we can wait till I get back next week.

Well, Monday night I rebuilt my clutch hub. Went together easy peasy. Tonight thanks to Hogsausage I was able to reassemble the shifter/clutch rod. Everything on the engine is buttoned up... just need to do the once over to check for tight drain plugs and thing of that nature. I bit the bullet and pulled the trigger on a new set of Amal Mk.1's. My justification being, I plan on riding the wheels off of this bike and really don't want to mess with the mismatched 40+ year old carbs I have.
That being said... Hook up the ignition, one more trip to the parts store for fluids, and one more order of misc. parts and pieces and I'll be ready to fire the old girl up!!! I'm thinking the week after Easter now... fingers crossed.

Hey all! This post is topic is rapidly coming to a close. If I wanted to force the issue I could fire the bike up tonight. I'm going to wait though one of my carbs isn't pulling up tight to the flange... It must have had a cut taken on it to true up the mounting surface because it's considerably thinner than my other carb. I'll take the next couple of days to put a wrench on all the fasteners and what not. I'll most likely fill it with oil tonight and start priming the oil system looking for leaks. Depending on how long it takes to get the last order of parts/tools I may take the first ride before Easter. Here's a couple of pictures: I need to clean up the wiring a little still. Couple of other minor areas to address but I'm about ready to ride. Later! Nova.
