Just needing some input here. I have done a lot of research on these carbs. They seem to get a lot of mixed opinions. I have a Super B that came with my 74' HD XLCH and I know they were the best for racing but not so much for putting around town like the "E" would be since it has the accelerator pump in it. I had recently found out there is a accelerator kit for the "B" but it has to be modified at a machine shop. This reversible? Worth doing? or should I just invest in an "E" also? which is what I am considering.

I'd say it's a safe bet after the parts and maching/ tooling costs that finding a used set of the e carbs will be cheaper if not then awfully close to the same price. So I'd rather have a set of both carb types if it were me.

Thats what I was thinking too, even though they are expensive as shit I am probably going to invest in the E model later down the road, it seems like it would be the better one for longer rides. The B was built to run wide open and you have to roll the throttle and cant snap it like on the E from what i read.
