Hello everyone this is my first bike, and definitely not my last. But is there anybody that knows about 1980 Honda CB400T Hawk. It runs at like 5k RPM Doing about 65 mph I didn't think this is normal I've heard sprockets, carbs need synced. has anybody had any experience with anything like this, or any other ideas?

Usually 7500RPM in top gear would be at least 75MPH.
Sounds like its close to right on the money.
Might be able to hit 85 if your under 200 lbs. Maybe 105 if its been jetted and exhaust has modified.

Does anyone know if Faron (on andrew brown) is still open or alive? He had the coolest bikes down there like a handful of the rotary suzukis and some old ducati race bikes. His shop did the carbs on my H2 after i rebuilt the engine and oil injection.

Faron has been closed for a few years now.

My first bike was a '76 KZ400 and it did about a MPH/100 RPM. So, yeah, cruising at 50 mph would be doing 5000 rpm. Good around town, not so much on the highway!
