i have been searching all over (loews, googles, sohc forums, auto part stores, cycle recycle) for a suitable nut or information on specs for the sucker. 10mm nut...i gather its a 6mm bolt thats hitting the adjuster? but i can't seem to find anything that threads onto the sucker, any of you guys have any ideas? if it helps its a '74

I don't recall ever getting spamed by bike bandit. I have an order in right now, in fact.

McMaster Carr carries all kind of hardware. You should be able to find it there although they may want a minimum order. Can you verify the thread pitch with a gauge. It might be as easy to buy a metric tap and make your own.

what was happening was the bolt for the cam chain tensioner was gnarled up and was chewing up any correct nut, any honda car/motorcycle generally uses the same nuts. i bought a brand new cam chain tensioner and all is well now!
