Wanted to give everyone a heads up on this Vintage bike event that is at a very unique venue... should be a pretty good time. Kokomoto 2013 Vintage Bike Show Saturday June 29 3-8pm @ A Summer Place (4190 N. St. Rd. 19 / Sharpsville, IN 46068) Show Categories: Motorcycle Street, Motorcycle Offroad, Bicycle, and Best in Show Brothers Matt and Robert Davis crew up in the 70s and 80s racing motocross and BMX which gave them a love for anything 2 wheels. Over the years the two brothers have had the opportunity to meet others with the same passion through racing and their company Throttle Jockey. T.J. has been making graphics for offroad motorcycles since 1992. Born, raised and living in Kokomo they noticed a ton of old bikes in the area but never a specific show for them so they decided to organize a vintage bike event called Kokomoto. For 2013, the show will be at A Summer Place, just five minutes southeast of Kokomo in Sharpsvile, IN on Highway 19. This mock 50’s town with a functioning diner, Standard oil station, barber shop and the old ISIS movie theater from downtown Kokomo is a perfect back drop for a vintage bike show. Tee shirts, posters, patches, stickers, etc will be for sale and a professional photographer will be on site for bike pictures. Ticket sales to eat at the diner end June 25 at midnight (They need a head count for the food) General admission at the gate is $5 Check out the following links for more info: www.facebook.com/ClubKokomotokokomoto2013.eventbrite.com/www.asummerplace.org/About-Us.html

It will be a vintage bike /hot rod crowd. There will probably be a handful of purest in the group from the few I've met associated with Kokomoto. If you are in to that sort of thing I'd recommend going. But that’s just my opinion.

Well I missed the memo and rode there today from Greenfield. Needless to say I got a bit wet. That's the first time I have had rain get inside my goggles while riding... I ran into the Wilkinson Bros, and had a nice ride south with them in the sun. Totally made the trip worth it.
