I have some aluminum clovers that the chrome is chipping off from rock chips and then corrosion. I want to remove the chrome and polish the aluminum.
Has anyone removed chrome from aluminum? I had thought of just taking it to a chrome shop and asking them how much but what is the fun in that?

mechanical (grinding or blasting) or chemical (acid) are the only options I know of, either way it will be tough not to damage the aluminum...why people chrome aluminum I will never know

Thats very true Gordon. Specially when you can buff out aluminum to look like chrome.
