Recently purchased new shocks for my Goldwing. I searched around and found either really cheap ones or ~$400 progressives. I kept searching and found "David Quinn Motorcycles" (http://www.davequinnmotorcycles.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/Hagon.html) He sells a British made shock - Hagon.
Had not heard much about Hagon but they had a good rep with my co-workers in the UK. I called and spoke to David. He asked what my weight was, riding style, passengers, etc and set up a pair for me. There are lots of options (wide spring, narrow, spring rates, valving, etc). I got a basic set of black shock/chrome spring for ~$225. Got them in 3 days and he offered to replace the springs 2 more times if they did not feel right. (Of course I have to ship them back to him)
Got them 2 days after ordering them, fit perfectly and makes the bike feel totally different.
If you are looking for some shock i would definately consider him.
He is also comes recommended by Randakk...if you are a Honda GL1000, CBX, CX500, DOHC-4 fan.
