Here is a quick photoshop mock up of a older CB seat on the bike. What does everyone think??? Use the plastic tail that I have, it will require some fabrication to make it bolt on and also need a seat cushion and cover made. Use a seat from a older Honda CB, it will require some fabrication to make it bolt on but should be much easier than the plastic tail I have and allow room for the old lady to ride along as well. Leave it the way it is but get a better quality seat than is on it now but keep the same basic style. Attachments:

Ran across a seat from a 70's Honda CB350 for 20 bucks. Has a small tear on the corner but for that price figured what the heck. I can atleast see if I like it. Looks like I am going to have to build some kind of frame work to make it mount to the CX500 but I think I like the way it looks. It is a heck of a lot better than the short tail and homemade seat that the PO did. Attachments:
