I bought a tig machine over the summer. If you are new to it, Miller has a smartphone app that gives you the suggested current and electrode sizes based on your inputs of material , thickness and weld type.
Good luck...

Yea, It took me a while to get back in the swing on my MIG after putting it down for a few years. I bought the TIG for aluminum and sheetmetal, but really need to dedicate some time to practice.

Taggat, I'm a pro TGAW (TIG) welder. I can offer lots of advice and technique help. Even if you're just rusty at it, I've been at it for over ten years. I've helped a lot of guys take their skill to the next level and I'm happy to do it for whomever wants to learn.

Oh, for your gas... there's a trick. Don't buy a good "inert gas" regulator (CO2, helium, Argon). Buy a cheap one. Now, buy a good Oxygen regulator, like you would use on a cutting torch. Strip the fittings off of the cheap gas regulator and do the same with the oxy regulator. Put all the gas fittings on the oxygen regulator. you now have an inert gas regulator with Oxy regulator internals. This is very handy if you ever make a weld that you need to purge the back of the weld with shielding gas to fight porosity, you now have the gas flow capacity to do it all from the same tank of gas, and do't have to buy separate bottles (uber expensive).

Thanks for the tip, I happen to have a complete oxy/act torch kit (harbor freight) and was thinking the same thing. Now to just get my oxygen tank full of argon.
Still need the hose to the miller itself and a pedal.
