1976 Suzuki GT550 build update pics

I bought this bike from a fellow vintage member and had it tucked away for a month or so while I was finishing my 78 Kawasaki KZ650. I sold the KZ on Thursday after Xmas and then turned 100% attention to this very nice original 76 GT550. Ended up completely tearing down the engine and then gave her fresh hone and new rings with new bearings and seals throughout. The piston/cyl clearance was still nice and tight. The bike was in decent original condition but needed a heavy detail/rebuild. Everything from the coil pack back to the rear wheel is finished. The front still to do. So far so good. Not sure if I will keep her or sell??? Not much meat left on the bone as I am at approx $2100 in the build.

Looks good...went to my dads this weekend and I looked for the foot peg and pump cover... No luck

No worries. I was able to find a peg set and a buddy had the cover off some spare GT550 parts he has. How is the RD build?

good deal....The rd is coming along, I'm waiting for a fiberglass rear mudguard. After I fit some new brackets for it, the frame is off to powdercoat.

The GT550 is just about finished. Started her today and no more clanging sound, purred like a kitten. Running a little rich but with all the oil in the cyl from the build hard to know for sure.
