Here is my 78 Goldwing, I took off the old Vetter fairing and stock handlebars, added some euro bars and a small fairing. Not sure if I am going to leave the saddlebags and luggage rack. I also have the removable trunk that slides on rack. I hope I was able to post the pic... Attachments:

Another view.. thoughts?? early wings are the best. they actually look like a motorcycle. this is a perfect vintage tourer. that said, I'd probly leave the bags on or at least the ability to slip the trunk on when you need it. I gotta say I have never seen a heavily customized (cafed/chopped) wing that I like. I'd also keep an eye out for a set of those lovely alloy spoked rims that came on early wings before comstars. I like the stock muffs too. Nice bike tho, GL! my thoughts..

Cleanest Ive seen in a while. Most of the time you see those viper fairings on bikes they just look too big IMO, in your case the bike is huge. Sharp!

I like what you have done. I am also glad to see another '78 goldwing saved from the scrap heap. I wanted to go with the look that you have but once I added the pipes the saddle bags would not have worked very well. I would keep it as you have it and ride it. I am not a fan of the factory Honda taillights, I found that a Harley lay-down taillight and license plate bracket looks much better. Here is mine for you to look: picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/2z8NecqHThSaqe9ghbc4-wZ7qZopkGZWEKP32JVBsHo?feat=directlinkI would ditch the back rack for more of a bagger look. Looks great!

Thanks for all the positive comments, I am really looking forward to some warmer weather. I have a serious itch to ride.
