Finished this 1970 Yamaha HS1 and she puuurrrsss like a kitten now..lol. Bought it for $400 in MI and came to learn the the crank breather was missing and water entered the tranny which rusted the shift drum and forks...bad bad bad. Case was split, removed the tranny and soaked the parts Metal Rescue which broke the rust. Parts where thoroughly cleaned, inspected and rebuilt. All new bearings and seals in lower. Fresh cylinder hone and new rings. A few hours of polishing and painting and she is back on the road. Before---- After---- |

Very nice,where you get the time to do all the work. Brad, The bikes are built by tiny elves when I am sleeping!!  This one didn't require much work from the elves...so it was fairly quick. I noticed this 66 Suzuki S32 hanging around the garage the last couple days....guess this is the next on the stand. We need to get a ride in before the snow hits!!  |
