I posted this on facebook, but figured I would here as well for those who don't check it so often. I am a part of an up&coming business which is in the process of getting on our feet. We are looking for ways to promote our business, and jumped at this new opportunity. I am happy announce that myself; and the rest of the guys @ Secret Service Cycles, LLC; will be hosting the international Distinguished Gentleman's Ride on September 30th, 2012 for the indianapolis, IN area! Now, if you were too lazy to read the rules I will put in a nutshell...
30th September, 2012 - A day where Cafe racers, bobbers, flat trackers, classics, and retro's across the globe unite. We ride the world for no reason in suits being distinguished.
Requirements:
-You MUST wear a suit.
-The bikes should be Café Racers, Bobbers, Retros, Flat Trackers, Brat or Modern Classics (metal scooters are permitted as well).
That's pretty much it.
Preferred:
-No shenanigans. Please do not "act a fool" and make the rest of us look stupid.
-Abide the laws of the road. We do not condone, nor take responsibility for, any of your illegal actions. On or off two wheels.
-This is a cruise, not a race. Enjoy the ride and look out for the guys in front/behind you.
-Not completely necessary, but if you haven't been riding very long please study motorcycle hand signs. It will help keep everyone safe. I have attached a photo at the bottom of this post for your viewing.
-PLEASE share this event with at least one person who can meet the requirements!
Start and Destination
START:
One of the best parking lots on the north side is Paradise Cafe @ 96th Street & Meridian. To most of you, it is known as the Saturday spot for Cars&Coffee. We will rally here on Sunday morning at 10AM for breakfast and refreshments in the parking lot. Neither will be supplied so bring ample money for your gluttony.
Destination:
The Circle downtown! What better way to spend mid-day than down in the heart of Indianapolis! We will leave Paradise cafe at 12:00PM for a nice cruise to the circle. This should give everyone ample time to chat and get acquainted. *NOTE* Parking on the circle cannot be guaranteed so park accordingly if we run out of room.
Once downtown, there will be plenty of places to eat and grab a beer while we watch some Sunday football! *NOTE*Colts have a BYE week so if you're a die hard fan, you need not worry about missing some of the game.
Trophies and Prizes
Yep! Why not, right? The award ceremony will be held at center of the circle at 2:30PM. There will be two classes for the trophies and EVERYONE is eligible....
First class will be "Best in Show". The best bike on the circle. Accordingly, this award will be people's choice so be ready to vote!
Second Class will be "Dapper Dan". You guess it... Who has the nicest suit? This award will also be people's choice!
Prizes
A "Coolest Work in Progress" prize will be given to a lucky candidiate who needs it. ;D You'll get a nice little package of Macgyver tools to help you in your quest to completion! This will be chosen by our staff.
Lastly, we will be giving away a set of Black CNC'd Bar End mirrors from Dime City Cycle's! This prize will be raffled off to the winner.
We would appreciate any and all support for this event so please invite your fellow riders and come join us on Sept. 30th while others, worldwide, celebrate the same event!
