Saw an add in CL about a 1st Friday of every month meet in carmel. Id like to make it, but Im loyal to the Steer Inn night and dont want to do two nights in a row. I sent him a message asking why would you make the meet the same week as the Steer Inn. Even though its a different day. not everyone can go to 2 and 3 events per week.
just wondering what you all think?

Vintage Bike Night on Friday, August 3rd at George and Jeff's Crepes and Creamery( on North Rangeline, in Carmel ) from 6pm to 9pm. I might make it up there Sept if they keep it the same week as Steer Inn.

Vintage Bike Night on Friday, August 3rd ( tonight ! ) at George and Jeff's Crepes and Creamery ( on North Rangeline, in Carmel ) from 6pm to 9pm.
It will be a perfect evening for a ride. Come discuss vintage motorcycles and meet new/old friends. This is NOT a club, ALL are welcome !
This is a real event, piggybacked off of the hugely successful and awesome First Thursdays at Harold's Steer Inn. ( E. 10th Street, great venue! )
I am not trying to steal the thunder of Harold's, just found another GREAT parking lot, ( old Ritter's location ) with new owners willing to accommodate this event.
Nummy nummy treats available too ! I know this for a fact, from firsthand ice cream experience. Tell a friend, and roll on up !
If even a fraction of the number of people show up as they did last night . . . this could be really fantastic. OR come September 7th ( First Fridays )
- I agree that 2 nights in a row is a bit of overkill . . . but I had to start somewhere, and figured more folks could make a Friday night. Maybe? Anyhow, hopefully this will spark some interest to meet up on the north side. And yes, Carmel cops can be pests for sure. Just be ultra aware of speed limits until you leave Hamilton County.

Why not second friday of the month after your first Friday this month. That way people can have back to back weeks of vintage bike goodness! See what I did there?

yeah i tried suggesting the 3rd friday of each month, then you would have a meet every two weeks. nice and even I wont make it tonight but might try for next month. Im all for it, just not two nights in a row. I just think it competes too much with the Steer Inn. I would be all for it if it were a different week. just my opinion. I hope its a huge turn out tho. steve

As long as there is a weekend between meets I think it will work for most. People with family's, jobs, and old bikes need time to recoup or wrench after the first meet.

I will post info about turnout tomorrow, and/or any future changes in scheduling.
I'm getting a lot of responses from the Craigslist post.
Hope it works out . . .
