Never too early to start planning. July 20-22. It's been a few years since a sizable group has ridden out from Indianapolis, but the word on the street is it's going to be a good year for mid-o! I'll update this post as the date nears if anyone wants to ride out with us. www.americanmotorcyclist.com/events/amavintagemotorcycledays

If we don't have any big purchases planned (like the super rare gas tank last year) and if I can beg and plead for a saturday of in the summer... we would be interested in riding.

I'm a little behind the testing curve with my wife... long story, suffice it to say we are getting very close to knowing the happy medium. :-)

That happy medium is hard to reach, for me its let her get something expensive=new bike or parts for me.The other day she got a new 900 dollar dishwasher,I got another Trail 70,She gets her hair done,I get my frame powdercoated. For me its best to let her get hers first,at higher cost of course. And always before I go for a rode, make sure to ask her if she wants to go,always.

I don't know what route you guys take to get to mid-Ohio but it can be done on all state roads. No highways. I'm so looking forward to this trip!

I am going for sure. Ride or drive is up in the air at the moment. Depends on time. I will stay at a hotel in Marion. Done camping on their grounds. If I do drive, my truck will be available for parts transport, or an emergency dead bike.

We always roll the back roads when we ride in a group. Been a few years since we all went though. I think we have around 8-10 of us to far this year. I'll probably be in my truck because I have to bring my race bike. Maybe I can find someone to take it out there for me and I can ride. We'll see.

Do you mean you've camped there and you're "done" with it? yeah, I've camped 8 or 10 times. always either in my tent or in the back of the trailer. But... I like to sleep when I go to sleep. I used to just drink enough to sleep thru the nite, but then about 5:30 am people start riding their 2smokers to the showers. If you're a heavy sleeper or don't mind not sleeping much, it's a hoot, especially with a few friends. It sometimes (always) rains, and the camp roads can get very muddy. However, Marion is 30 miles away, with a nice ride over. Hotels, restaurants, everything. Nice shower without the wait. Room is 80 bucks. I always go thru the camp to look at everything tho. I'm not dissin' it, I'm just done with it.
