Well I got the bottom end together, Hope I got everything in there. One thing about buying a basket case you have a lot of extra parts to sort thru. I know there parts for a least three motors, not complete but parts.

Need to get the cyls. honed and rings fitted. Than sort the head out valves look good but will probably replace seals and lap in the seats.

Yesterday, I put the 450 together as a roller to get a police vin check. So I can apply for a title with my Bill of sales from PO. All went well title is on its way. I found out the hard way a few years back on fixing up a project without title. So before getting in to deep getting the paper work is a priority for me. The same Lady waited on me that took care of the Harley Hummer. So she thought the 450 was a piece of cake. Ron

Well I had my oil pump all cleaned up and installed. But was told from another site if I use a later model 450 pump if would give 33% more oil. Thats a no brainier the top end of the 450 needs all the oil it can get. So back to e-bay for a aluminum body pump. Got it all cleaned up tested it in a can of clean oil wile pushing the connecting pumps like a champ. Installed a new o-ring behind the pump on the oil port.

Got the new pump on, made a couple revaluations of the crankshaft to make sure it all worked out. Now on to hone the cyl. and fit the rings.

Got some new stones for my hone and honed the cyl. came out nice. Cleaned the cyl. up, now I need to cut down the over size rings to spec. That's for another day when I'm fresh not much room for mistakes. Ron

I got the rings fitted to the cylinders and installed. Started on the head valves look good. Will lap them in and be good to go. Found I have the wrong valve seal. Went to Bikebandit and ordered some right at $10 ea. that hurts.
