I'm having trouble with the wiring on my bike. My rectifier is getting really hot really quick. I'm talking within 10 seconds of connecting the battery it's too hot to touch. I also need to find some spark plug boots the ones on the plug wires are rusted on the inside. I have the wiring schematic for the bike

The best place to get the boots is at cycle recycle in indy and the rectified getting hot sounds like the wiring is mixed up

Is your regulator a combo with the rectifier or are they separate if they are separate I would check and make sure your rectifier is good because it is the one that feeds power to the regulator if im not mistaken

I have the rectifier that is just a couple square red plates bolted together with a plug running in between the plates
