That was me! So I am going down I-70 in Ohio, and this girl was parked along the road talking on the phone and is pulling back onto the highway as I pass her. She drives next to me for a couple of minutes and her two kids are waving at me. I wave back a couple times and she gives me a wave and a smile as she starts pulling ahead of me in the next lane. She gets up about another 100 feet in front of me and BOOMM! Her right front tire blows up and tire chunks fly past my head as she goes driving down in the ditch. I pull over and turn around to see if they are ok. They were fine but in the median with a flat tire. She gets out and I tell her to drive to the other side of the road so I can put the spare on for her and she says no because she doesn't want to ruin the rim. She has so much stuff in her van (beds, clothes, all kinds of sh*t) that needs removed to even get to her tire. We pull it all out along the roadside. Her spare is mounted under the van but you have to turn this bolt inside to let it down and she only has a 4 way jack, and because of this stupid cover, you can only turn 1/5th turn each time. After about 30 mins I get the tire down and change her tire for her. I now had to put the bad tire back up there and help her load all this stuff into her messy van or suv. Crazy! an hour or so later, I am back on the road. I hope they made it the rest of the way to New Jersey on the bald spare!

My brother and I passed you on the modern HD's and I started to look for a spot to turn around, but the next exit was a way up the road. I was thinking the Beemer broke and the car was helping you. Figured i would not be much help at that point. When I showed up at mid O and met a couple from Indy they said you were helping the car. Glad you got there safe. Did you hit the rain on the way home yesterday? You definatly get the white knight award!

I didn't hit the rain because I was so beat from the sun and heat that I headed back home on Saturday instead of hiking on Sunday like I planned. My battery went out on the way there, luckily I found one at the swap meet.

That was my boyfriend and I that you ran into. We saw the car, and all the sh*t unpacked on the side of the road and figured you were helping them.

Great pictures Felkman. I love the scooter pulling the Buck Rogers style trailer. It must've been close to 100F there that day.
