Those are actually my kids bikes. I think the chain is off 4 out of the 5 bikes. Daddy don't fix no bikes until his are fixed first!

So uh yea... about tomorrow night... I'll be trying to find a battery... the 5 yo plc battery gave up the ghost tonight... big thanks to hogsausage for being AAA for me. You da man.

Nova, I got all caught up on your thread, it's been a month since I last read it. Looking awesome and you're so freakin' close!!! Keep it up. It's looking first class. What size and model of rear tire is that? I want and need to get the modern style 130-16 off the bike b/c it just barely rubs the chain and I don't want to shim anything to fudge it into working. So I'm considering a Firestone Deluxe Champion Blackwall 350-16. It sounds crazy narrow since most are 500-16 meaning 5 inches wide. The 350-16 is 4.05” wide, 24.44dia and $105. Also, where did you get the vintage looking cloth wrapped wire? that's the shiznit!!! later, Mickdee

Hey Mickdee,
I posted the shop in the business section that I got the wire from. Someplace down south... a Hot Rod shop. I got both my tires from Coker Tire. I spent top dollar on them cause it was exactly what I wanted. It's 3.5"x18", not sure of the circumference.

Hey all. I think I'm going to officially close this thread... or at least call the project at an end. I've got roughly 50 miles on the bike now. The bike ran so good tonight! I think the battery was less than 100% from the get go... or it was the cool ass air... either way, nothing fell off. And it's technically a street legal bike so from here on out it will just be tweaks and improvements.
I can't thank all of you enough for the kind words and moral support since I've joined. Truely a great group of people. I'll see you on the road this summer. Planning on putting a TON of miles on the old girl. I'm looking forward to the May 3rd Vin Moto meet, and the camping trip... and the Rockers Reunion, and the AMA vintage races... etc... etc...

Im riveted,Im going to try posting a build thread from beginning to end on my 72 CT 70.It is almost finished,I ran into a gas tank rust hole issue so now waiting on that to arrive along with some other little finishing items.
